Emma-Jane Brown, top class international show-jumper first hit the sporting headlines in 1984 at the age of 20 when she won the Ladies National Championship of Great Britain. In 1989 she became the first female show-jumper to compete on the American Fall Circuit when, as part of the British Nations Cup team, she won the World Cup qualifier. She was selected by the international committee to represent Great Britain in the Nations Cup a staggering 13 times and was the highest ranked female rider for many years, recognised as an esteemed ambassador for the country.
Since her retirement from show-jumping, Emma has worked on radio, as a commentator for both Sky Sports and Eurosport and contributor to a number of lifestyle magazines covering equestrianism and social and sporting events. Two years ago, Emma climbed Kilimanjaro to raise funds for children suffering from brain tumours. For her services to charity in Malta, which included teaching equestrianism there, Emma was honoured with a Knighthood.
As a businesswoman committed to make her sport safer, Emma developed REVO – her own range of protective equestrian clothing for children. However her primary business is EJB Events – a private concierge and events company. EJB Events lays on sporting and social occasions for high net worth individuals.
Since the creation of EJB Events, Emma has received the following accolades: Voted Top Female Event Planner of the Year in 2016, Listed in Empire Publishing’s 150 Outstanding Women in 2016, and included in Universal Publishing’s Top 200 Influential Professionals in 2016.
