SUMMER FAYRE AT THE THROCKMORTON ARMS AT COUGHTON

The summer holidays will soon be coming, not sure what to do to entertain the family?  The Throckmorton Arms at Coughton is holding a Summer Fayre on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd August 2008. There will be a steam traction engine, a vintage vehicle rally, a hot air balloon display, country pursuits, country produce exhibitors, a beer tent, pig roast barbeque, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (the famous motorcar which this year is celebrating its 40th birthday!) and other events.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to us so please support this event.

STRATFORD RACECOURSE - RACE NIGHT AND SUPPER

The Shakespeare Hospice invites you to a summer’s evening of racing on Thursday 14 August.  Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Pimms and canapés, before enjoying a buffet supper in the Paddock suite.  With some of the country’s best jockeys competing over six races, a tote service available exclusively to Hospice guests, and a fabulous auction and raffle with some unique lots - including 2 tickets to see David Tenant in Hamlet at the RSC -a sold-out show only availble here! All you have to do is back the winner!

Tickets cost £45 and include:

• Entry badge
• Race card
• Pimms on arrival
• Buffet supper
• Tote facility

Sponsorship packages are also available, including naming a race featuring in the national press.

THE SHAKESPEARE HOSPICE INAUGRAL PAIRS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

For all those players who love playing at The Broadway, then we are holding our very first pairs competition there on Friday 3rd October. This is a smaller event than our Summer Golf Event - with a maximum of 24 pairs taking part. The winning team - The Desperados - from our June competiton have been invited as our guests to play for the tile of Pairs Champions at our first ever competition.

Team entry is £100 which will include breakfast baps before teeing off then meeting back at the club house for a three course lunch. Tee-times are available between 9.32- 10.12. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
