How A Small Monthly Gift Can Make A Big Difference

Every year, The Shakespeare Hospice helps hundreds of families in our community whose lives are affected by serious illness.

This invaluable work is almost exclusively funded by the generous support we get from our local community and one of the best ways to support The Shakespeare Hospice is by setting-up a regular gift.

Regular gifts not only help to fund the Hospice’s work but they also help the Hospice to plan our future care with a little more confidence.
 
Regular gifts also enable you to make a difference in a way that fits in with your personal budget; you can increase, decrease or cancel your regular gift at any time. What’s more, if donated by a UK taxpayer, regular gifts are also eligible for Gift Aid, which means your gift could be worth up to 28% extra to the Hospice at no extra cost to you.
 
How your gift could help:

Over the course of a year, a gift of...

• £2 per month could...reduce a patient or carer's stress and discomfort by paying for a complementary therapy session
• £5 per month could...relieve several patients' pain by covering the costs of two new mobile TENS machines, which can help patients with a wide range of medical conditions and can be used in the Day Hospice or in a patient's home.
• £10 per month could...provide specialist nursing care and support for a seriously ill person and their family by paying for a visit from our Hospice at Home team. This invaluable service is avialable to patients 365 days a year.
• £25 per month could...help a patient living and working with a serious illness like cancer by funding up to 7 physiotherapy or occupational therapy sessions.

All examples listed above are based on monthly gifts which include added Gift Aid.
