Bereavement Support

This service is available to anyone who has lost someone special to them through death, whilst under the care of The Shakespeare Hospice.

Sharing your worries and fears can make you less overwhelmed by them and less alone. It can also help to make you feel more in control even though there will be some things that you cannot change. All bereavement support is done in total confidence.

Bereavement support is having a sensitive and caring visitor who is willing to listen to anything that you need to share. Your visitor will not be overwhelmed by your feelings. You can rely on that person to maintain confidentiality. All our visitors are specially selected volunteers who undergo a comprehensive training programme and have support and supervision from professional staff at The Shakespeare Hospice.
