Information and
Support Service

Have you or someone you know just been diagnosed with a serious illness? Are you frightened? Confused? Unsure of where to go for help?

Most people are affected by serious illness at sometime in their lives, whether it is they or someone close to them who have been diagnosed. Bad news about health can be disorientating and distressing and give rise to all sorts of questions beyond the ones about medical treatment. If you find yourself in this situation then the Information and Support Service is here to help.

The Information and Support Service, based at the Hospice, is for any adult affected by any type of serious illness. It is open to everyone, not just those who have been diagnosed with an illness but also their carers, family and friends.

At the Information and Support Service base our staff will listen to your concerns and can offer emotional support, practical advice and time to talk in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and in total confidence.

This service is completely free of charge and there are no geographical limitations. It is based at the Hospice in Shottery. If you would like more details call  01789 266 852.
