Moonlit Walk

The Shakespeare Hospice Moonlit Walk 2012 is celebrating the Jubilee/Olympic year with a 'Best of British' theme. Anything 'red, white or blue' goes, or more adventurous costumes - you could dress up as the Queen and bring along your corgi! There will be a prize for the best costume, so get creative!

Ladies, we need you and your friends, neighbours and families, the more ladies the more money we can raise for The Shakespeare Hospice.  Please help support our Hospice and its patients by taking part in this great event. The help, assurance and treatments the Hospice offers can make such a difference to the wellbeing of the patients and carers, but we need your efforts to ensure we can keep providing this free service.

Register now for your chance to win prizes in our registrants' raffle! For every 50 walkers we will do a prize draw, so the sooner you enter the more chances you have to win.

While you are walking, our Hospice at Home nurses will be working, providing care for families in their own homes. So please join us for a great night out with the girls and help us help the families in your community! We are calling on your community spirit to be part of this fabulous night. The starting time this year is 10.00pm and we hope that all the ladies in your family can come along and walk the 10K (6.21 mile) route.  Courtesy of Budgens Trinity Mead you will be treated to a “fizz stop” half way around.

Registration on the night is open from 8.30pm – 9.30pm, with the walk starting promptly at 10.00pm. Supporters are more than welcome on the night, especially if they want to volunteer! We need men! Boyfriends, husbands, brothers, fathers, sons etc can help by being marshals (please ensure under 16’s are accompanied by an adult) and chaps if you want to ‘walk the walk’ then all you need is to get in the spirit of our theme and dress up!

Anyone under the age of 16 taking part MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times and remains the sole responsibility of that adult for the duration of the night.

Parking will be available on the night at Morrisons. If you would like to make use of this parking, please contact the Hospice with your vehicle registration number.
