HOSPICE OPENS NEW BOOK SHOP
The Shakespeare Hospice are embarking on a new venture with the opening of a book and music charity shop.
Books Etcetera is opening on Rother Street, Stratford on Avon, and will house an array of books, music (both CDs and vinyl), videos and DVDS. All the stock has been donated by members of the community and will add to the continuing success of the other shops by providing vital funds for the Shakespeare Hospice.
Hospice Retail Manager Carole Barbour said “The idea for the shop really came about by popular demand. People have always given generously to our charity shops, especially with books and many have often said we should open a book shop. We’ve taken then at their word and Books Etcetera will open its doors on 6th March, which is World Book Day. Its amazing what you can find, be it a classic gem you’ve been hunting for or just a quick read for your holidays. It's also an excellent way of recycling and of course raising money for the Hospice”.
