The Great Shakespeare Ride

CONGRATULATIONS to all the cyclists who took part on Sunday. And THANK YOU to all our volunteers and supporters who made the event so special.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all who took part in the very first GREAT SHAKESPEARE RIDE. We have had some fantastic feedback about the event and appreciate all of your kind remarks and emails. I acknowledge there are improvements to be made to ensure that next year's event is better. These are just some of the suggestions we have had so far.
 
PARKING
I acknowledge and apologise for the problem with the overspill car park and assure you this will be rectified for next year’s event.

REGISTRATION
I plan to open registration on the Saturday evening and employ extra help with Sunday morning’s registration to eleviate the queues.

FEED STATIONS
For the 100 mile riders I  have had feedback that the first one at Hook Norton was too early in the ride so next year we will plan an extra feed station at around 50 miles particularly for this route.  
 
SIGNAGE
Great feedback in general but I have to ensure signage clear for those of you who don’t wish to stop at all feed stations. WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK

MEDALS

Due to the overwhelming number of entrants on the day we ran out of medals! If you did not receive a medal we should have taken your details on the day and will be posting one out to you as soon as we can. If you did not receive a medal and have not had your details recorded please send us your name, race number and address to events@theshakespearehospice.org.uk and we will arrange to send a medal to you. Thank you.
