Brexit: Where Are We Now?

17 March 2017

Please note that there has been a date change from Friday 17th February to Friday 17th March

Join us at the Crowne Plaza for our 2017 Business Lunch - Brexit: Where Are We Now?

On Friday 17th March 2017, The Shakespeare Hospice are holding a Business Networking Lunch at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford upon Avon. Arriving at 12:00pm, there will be fizz on arrival and a two course lunch with guest speakers. The business lunch will finish at 2pm.

Stratford Business Forum's Jonathan Smith will be hosting and there are a number of speakers who will be discussing Brexit.

The topic of this year's business networking lunch is "Brexit: Where are we now?" Jeremy Wright, MP of Kenilworth and Southam will be giving an exclusive 'behind the scenes' point of view in Parliament. The business lunch is a great opportunity to network with businesses in the South Warwickshire and North Cotswolds area and to find out about the goings on behind the scenes in Parliament.

Jeremy Wright, MP for Kenilworth and Southam

Born into a family of teachers, Jeremy began pursuing a career as a Barrister before making the move into politics. In 2003, Jeremy was chosen to represent the Conservative Party in Rugby and Kenilworth, winning the seat back from Labour in 2005.

In Opposition he was a member of the Justice Committee where his experience as a barrister proved extremely useful and he formed the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dementia, an issue he feels strongly about. In 2010, he was appointed to the Government as a Whip and in 2012 to the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice with responsibility for the prison service, probation, rehabilitation and sentencing. The 2014 Government reshuffle saw Jeremy promoted to Attorney General, chief legal adviser to the government, overseeing the Crown Prosecution Service, the Serious Fraud Office and Her Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate.
