Vacancy details
We are looking for two new Trustees who share a passion to serve our community and who can help us ensure that we are able to deliver our services today, tomorrow and for always. This is a voluntary role, and you will work with the Board, Executive and the Senior Management Team to ensure that we continue to deliver our much-needed services. Even in the current challenging environment we have continued to operate for the benefit of those in the community who need our support.
We are particularly interested to hear from clinicians working at a senior level within secondary care, who can bring to the Board their understanding of the interface between social care, primary, secondary and community care.
We would also welcome applications from individuals with experience of developing and maintaining strong community partnerships in Stratford and the surrounding areas.
Our new Trustees should be able to demonstrate appropriate professional skills to provide oversight of the activities of the Hospice and offer challenge and support to the Senior Management Team. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an empathy with Hospice philosophy is essential.
All Trustees are required to attend 6 Board Meetings per annum, plus 2 strategic planning days and the AGM. You will also be expected to become a member of one or two of the Board subcommittees and attend regular meetings of that committee. Trustees are encouraged to attend fundraising events throughout the year. In return you will be able to share your experience and expertise in driving forward a progressive charity and make a real contribution to your community.
We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, younger people and people with disabilities, as these groups are under-represented on our Board.
