Hospice Encourages Communities to Celebrate its 25th Birthday

Launching a year of celebrations, The Shakespeare Hospice is celebrating 25 years of Hospice care with its “Sip Sip Hooray” Tea Parties. The Hospice is asking the local community to support by hosting their own tea party any time over the next 12 months.

This fundraising event offers a delightful opportunity for friends, families, and neighbours to come together over tea, cake, and conversation while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Whether it is for 3 or 300 people, by hosting a tea party, participants can help raise vital funds to support the hospice's ongoing efforts to provide expert care, comfort, and dignity to patients and their loved ones.

The Shakespeare Hospice has created a fundraising pack with a variety of materials to help supporters organise their tea party. The packs include bunting, cake flags, posters, invitations, and a recipe card, featuring recipes provided by Hospice staff and volunteers.

The launch of Sip Sip Hooray coincides with the 25^th anniversary of the day that patients were welcomed to The Shakespeare Hospice for the very first time - on 22^nd February 1999.

As we commemorate this milestone, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating by hosting their own Sip Sip Hooray tea parties. Together, we can ensure that our Hospice continues to be a beacon of compassion and support for those facing life's greatest challenges."

Anyone interested in taking part in Sip Sip Hooray can download a free fundraising pack from The Shakespeare Hospice website or collect a pack from the Hospice in Shottery or any of its six high street shops.
