Because of people like you, this story exists.
Twelve years ago, four women walked through the doors of our Hospice carrying the weight of a cancer diagnosis. They were strangers. Frightened. Sitting side by side with news no one ever wants to hear. One had been told her illness was terminal.
What happened next is something none of them expected.
The care they received didn’t just support them through treatment - it changed the course of their lives. In the middle of uncertainty, they found reassurance. They found laughter. They found one another.
Today - twelve years on - all four are cancer free, and still the closest of friends.
We’ve captured their journey in a short film below. It reminds us that The Shakespeare Hospice is not only about the end of life. It is about living well - with hope, dignity and connection - for as long as possible.
