Trusts and Foundations Fundraising
Grants and donations from charitable trusts and foundations are a core and invaluable source of funding for The Shakespeare Hospice’s services. Some organisations have regularly supported us since we were established in 1999 while others may have provided recent one-off grants. These may range in size from, for example, £100 to over £100,000 and, large or small, every donation is gratefully received.
Trust and foundation donations may be made towards:
- capital projects – including new buildings and medical equipment
- core funding - for our day to day running costs, from staff salaries to overheads
- specific projects - such as diversional therapy in our Day Hospice or activities for children using our Children’s Bereavement Service.
We provide reports and updates to our funders to let them know what a positive impact their donation has made and aim to develop long-term relationships, wherever possible. Trustees and other representatives are always welcome to visit the Hospice to meet our teams and see our facilities, to find out what difference their grant could make or is making to our patients and their families.
Just some of our recent funders who we would like to acknowledge for their generous support are:
