Donation Limits
We couldn't do what we do without the generous donations of our supporters and community. Our teams work incredibly hard to process all donations with care and attention, ensure we recognise the value of every item and present our shops in the best possible way. To support our teams during these challenging times, we have implemented guidance and limits on making donations so we can continue to do this in a safe environment for all.
This includes;
-
Donation Windows - to help our teams manage and sort donations, we may implement donation time windows for each shop. This will help our teams plan for extra support and leave sorting areas clear and sanitised for the following day. We would appreciate every effort to make donations during these times. Note our 'Donation Station' at Avenue Farm Furniture and Homeware shop is available for donations Monday - Saturday 10-4pm.
-
Donation Pause - Our shop managers may pause accepting donations at any time if stock levels become unsafe or unmanagable in our small shops. This will be our last resort and will only be to allow us to catch up in the case of a large number of donations. Please call ahead to avoid disapointment.
-
Donate little and often- To help us manage our (very) small stock areas, we would really appreciate if you are able to bring us your donations in bitesize chunks. However, if this is just not possible we would of course still love your donations. What we do ask, is if you have a large donation to make (approx 4 black bin bags or more) to call your local shop manage ahead who will help organise the best way to bring your donations in to us.
-
Quantity limits - We will update this list as required. Please check before donating. Maximum of 2 bags or boxes of books in each donation (applies to all shops)
Thank you for making your donation to The Shakespeare Hospice. Your unwanted items will help fund care for patients and their families in your community.
