The Shakespeare Hospice is welcoming new volunteers who can spare two hours a week.  We ask for a minimum commitment of a year - a term-time only option would be accepted.

A "befriending" companion volunteering role, providing supportive visits to patients who have been diagnosed with a potentially life limiting illness.

Working with a wide range of patients, carers, pre- or post-bereaved and staff, the companion role is hugely rewarding and uplifting, and you will be well supported while volunteering with us.  Although volunteers give their time freely, we can offer in return training, and a sense of being part of a team and helping to grow our new service.
