Dr Cristina Ramos has stepped down from The Shakespeare Hospice’s Board, after completing her maximum term as a Trustee.
Dr Ramos (pictured second from the left) joined the Hospice’s Board of Trustees in 2015 and served as chair of the Hospice’s Clinical Governance Committee. She is a GP Partner at Rother House Medical Centre and Chair of the South Warwickshire GP Federation.
Dr Ramos is incredibly passionate about palliative care services and during her tenure, she has been a devoted supporter of The Shakespeare Hospice. In December, she completed the gruelling Half Marathon Des Sables in Peru – a 100km race over three days in the desert - raising over £1,000 for The Shakespeare Hospice.
Hospice CEO, Tracey Sheridan, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Dr Ramos for her dedication as Trustee at The Shakespeare Hospice. Her support and guidance since 2015 have been invaluable to The Hospice, particularly during the pandemic when most of our clinical operations were heavily impacted. She will be sorely missed by myself, her fellow board members, and the clinical team here at the Hospice.”
Dr Ramos said: “It has been a tremendous honour and a great pleasure to have served on the Board of the Shakespeare Hospice. The services and care provided by the Shakespeare Hospice and its role in supporting and integrating palliative care in South Warwickshire is exemplary. My journey as a Trustee has ended, but my support for The Shakespeare Hospice as it delivers invaluable support for patients, carers and clinicians will continue.”
